Welcome! My name is Jason and I will be a first time dog owner this coming September! I have wanted a dog for as long as I can remember. My dog obsession first started when I saw Homeward Bound for the first time in 1993. I really don’t remember the movie that much, but I do remember wanting a dog named Shadow very badly. However my parents were reluctant. They like dogs, grew up with dogs of their own, but they didn’t want the added responsibility and addition to our somewhat small house… Fast forward 17 years to present day. I am now 27 years old, living in my own house, have a decent job, and I am finally ready for my first puppy. I have been doing extensive research on dog training/behavior, and I hope you will follow me through this amazing journey of raising a dog.
